Origem das Nações

Segundo as Sagradas Escrituras o acontecimento do dilúvio nos dias de Noé, marcou a trajetória dos seres vivos no planeta Terra, onde o recomeço seria a esperança de um mundo melhor.

Os descendentes de Sem povoaram as regiões asiáticas desde as praias do Mediterrâneo até o oceano Índico, ocupando a maior parte do território entre Jafé e Cam. Foi dentre eles que Deus escolheu o seu povo, cuja história constituiu o tema central das Sagradas Escrituras.

Os descendentes de Cam foram notavelmente poderosos no princípio da história do mundo antigo. Constituíam a base dos povos que mais relações travaram com os hebreus, seja como amigos, ou como inimigos. Eles estabeleceram-se na África, no litoral mediterrâneo da Arábia e na Mesopotâmia.

Os descendentes de Jafé formaram os povos indo-europeus, ou arianos. Embora não tivessem sobressaído da história antiga, tornaram-se as raças dominantes do mundo moderno.

Não se tem precisamente a data do inicio da torre depois do Dilúvio, os habitantes de Sinar começaram a construir o monumento, para, talvez formalizarem algum culto idólatra. Mas Deus confundiu-lhes a língua que falavam, dispersando-os em seguida. Daí em diante, a torre passou a ser conhecida como Babel, que, em hebraico, significa ”confusão”. É bem provável que a torre de Belus, na cidade de Babilônia, haja sido a culminação de Babel. Constituía-se ela numa pirâmide quadrada de oito pisos, cuja base media mais de um quilômetro de circunferência.  (Gn. 10:10; 11:9)

According to the Holy Scriptures of the flood event in Noah's day, marked the history of living things on Earth, where the resumption would hope for a better world.

The descendants of Shem populated Asian regions from the beaches of the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean, occupying most of the territory between Japheth and Ham. It was among them that God chose his people, whose story was the central theme of Holy Scripture.

The descendants of Ham were notably strong in the early history of the ancient world. They formed the basis of the people who fought over relations with the Jews, either as friends or as enemies. They settled in Africa, on the Mediterranean coast of Arabia and Mesopotamia.

The descendants of Japheth formed the Indo-Europeans, or Aryans. Although no protruding from ancient history, became the dominant races of the modern world.

Do not have precisely the date of the beginning of the tower after the Flood, the inhabitants of Shinar began to build the monument, to perhaps formalize some idolatrous worship. But God confounded their language they spoke, dispersing them then. Thereafter, the tower became known as Babel, which in Hebrew means "confusion."
